Who are the Masons?

Masons in Olympia, Tumwater and Lacey congregate at Harmony Lodge #18, the friendliest Lodge in Thurston County, WA. Our Lodge includes a broad cross-section of the community and we welcome men over the age of 18 who want to improve themselves by associating with like-minded peers. Our membership is distributed fairly evenly across age groups and by profession, although because of the proximity to Fort Lewis (JBLM), many of our members are active duty military or veterans.

The Masonic Fraternity is the oldest Fraternity in the world. The Masonic Family includes Masons as well as organizations for their ladies, couples, and youth.

The Masonic Family provides more than $2 million a day to charitable activities such as hospitals, youth scholarship, and those less fortunate than we.

Report on Harmony Karting!

Per WM Ivan Isaacson, the following report has been filed on Harmony's recent Go-Kart experience at Apex Kart Racing in Tumwater:

April 16 2009 –

17 racers converged on the Apex Karting track for Harmony #18’s Go-Kart night. With clear eyes and grit in their teeth, they wondered who would be fastest around the track. After the traditional boasts and brags, the gauntlet was thrown down as the first group of names was called over the loud speaker. Drivers crammed their heads into helmets and then squeezed into their Karts (some with more difficulty than others). Ten minutes of intense wheel-to-wheel action followed. After a series of drifts, skids and slides, the tires warmed up and the drivers set to work on their best time of the day. Just before the dust settled on the first round, it was time for the second group to take over and it started all over again. For ten minutes at a time, the real world was set aside and each of us was a real race car driver! Lap times were fast and smiles were wide. A good time was had by all. Kevin Lundsford had the best time with a 30.6 second lap. The fastest Mason? I didn’t get all the times; however, I think it was either Clint Brown or Chad Ellis.
