Who are the Masons?

Masons in Olympia, Tumwater and Lacey congregate at Harmony Lodge #18, the friendliest Lodge in Thurston County, WA. Our Lodge includes a broad cross-section of the community and we welcome men over the age of 18 who want to improve themselves by associating with like-minded peers. Our membership is distributed fairly evenly across age groups and by profession, although because of the proximity to Fort Lewis (JBLM), many of our members are active duty military or veterans.

The Masonic Fraternity is the oldest Fraternity in the world. The Masonic Family includes Masons as well as organizations for their ladies, couples, and youth.

The Masonic Family provides more than $2 million a day to charitable activities such as hospitals, youth scholarship, and those less fortunate than we.

Harmony MM degrees hosted by Tenino #86

Tenino Lodge staged two courtesy Master Mason degrees for Harmony on Friday October 16th. 25 brethren turned out for the occasion which was extremely successful. The star of the evening was VWB Ernie Goad as King Solomon – the next time he is scheduled in this role go out of your way to see it, you will not be disappointed. We had seven different Lodges represented and five sitting Worshipful Masters and two WMs Elect. The quality of the work was outstanding and the fellowship wonderful.

Our thanks to WM Clayton and the Brethren of Tenino Lodge for their kindness and consideration in staging the degrees at such short notice. Now that they have new carpet their Lodge really is a most delightful facility – just perfect for small (under 60) meetings, weddings, receptions – should you want to rent it please contact the President of TiMBA, Br Ken Keesler.

Our thanks, too, to everyone who took part in the degree including our lecturer WB Jack Sowers, our host VWB Clayton LaVigne, our new guys in roles Mike Frost and Grant Winkler, our old guys in new roles Hank Liendecker and Chad Ellis, our visitors Manley Michler, Jerry Vaudrin, Steve Carmick, Glenn Aldrich, Wayne Brown and the members of Harmony and Tenino Ivan Isaacson, Kurt Schmid, Bruce York, Casper LeBlanc, Ricky Bonnell, Ed Logan, Tim Lund, Mike Navitsky, Doug Mathers.
