Who are the Masons?

Masons in Olympia, Tumwater and Lacey congregate at Harmony Lodge #18, the friendliest Lodge in Thurston County, WA. Our Lodge includes a broad cross-section of the community and we welcome men over the age of 18 who want to improve themselves by associating with like-minded peers. Our membership is distributed fairly evenly across age groups and by profession, although because of the proximity to Fort Lewis (JBLM), many of our members are active duty military or veterans.

The Masonic Fraternity is the oldest Fraternity in the world. The Masonic Family includes Masons as well as organizations for their ladies, couples, and youth.

The Masonic Family provides more than $2 million a day to charitable activities such as hospitals, youth scholarship, and those less fortunate than we.

Saturday December 13th 3:00 p.m. – Masonic Family Christmas Party

It is time to start organizing the Masonic Family Christmas Party. Last year’s event was such a raving success and we have a little bit of money left over from the Mother’s Day Pancake Breakfast so this year should be a lot easier to organize and even more fun. I will be contacting all the people who helped last year, however, if you would like to be involved please e-mail Secretary Lathrope and we will put you to work – helping to plan and execute the event. Everyone with a Masonic connection is invited to participate. The big issues this year are not only the Master’s pie in the face but also whether we should invite a limited number of needy families to participate and share our bounty.
